Milan are showing interest in Atalanta and Italy striker Mateo Retegui, according to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Rossoneri are planning to revamp their squad following the arrival of new coach Max Allegri and hope to build a team suited to his tactical ideas.
They need new strikers regardless, as Luka Jovic is not expected to remain, while Tammy Abraham will return to Roma after his loan experience.
Milan set sights on Retegui

Retegui recently turned 26 years of age and was the Capocannoniere of Serie A this season with an impressive 25 goals and eight assists in 36 Serie A appearances.
He is also the first choice Italy centre-forward, battling for the role with Fiorentina striker Moise Kean.

Atalanta purchased him from Genoa in August 2024 for €20.9m plus bonuses, an emergency signing after Gianluca Scamacca tore his anterior cruciate ligament during a pre-season friendly.
This will therefore be an extremely expensive and difficult approach for Milan to make, especially as they failed to qualify for Europe, while Atalanta are in the Champions League yet again.
