Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers has admitted that she is desperate to partner with a real estate company so that she doesn’t have to “pay for a house.”

The 23-year-old WNBA star opened up about her plans while speaking with LandonBuford.com.

She revealed that, although many stars are looking to be sponsored by clothing brands, she is interested in something much larger.

“I’d also love to have a real estate partnership so I wouldn’t have to pay for a house,” Bueckers told the site.

That’s not the only thing the star athlete is looking into.

She would love to discuss possible partnerships with car dealerships, she admitted. “I‘d like to have a car dealership partnership, so I don’t have to pay for a car.”

Bueckers urged people to “get the most” out of every deal they land.

The 23-year-old pro athlete, who is originally from Minnetonka, MN, was widely predicted to be the first player picked in this year’s draft. Her unrivaled performance throughout the season culminated in an incredible display during her NCAA team’s final matchup against the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Her phenomenal success on the court has also led to lucrative projects away from the stadiums and arenas where she has made a lasting impression on the sport—namely on social media. Bueckers boasts millions of fans, a following that has resulted in several impressive sponsorships.

According to sports media company On3, Bueckers’ NIL (name, image, and likeness) valuation for the 2024–25 season was estimated to be around $1.4 million—almost 18 times the amount that she will make as a rookie in the WNBA.

According to ESPN, the Minnesota native will earn around $78,831 in her first year playing professionally, a number that is set by the WNBA’s collective bargaining agreement.

According to Realtor.com® data, the median rent for a one-bedroom property in Dallas was $1,312 a month as of February 2025, while the median price for a two-bedroom was $1,705.

This means that a hefty chunk of Bueckers’ salary will be going toward her monthly rental payments—and that’s only if she’s willing to live in a property that doesn’t offer any kind of upscale amenities.

Should Bueckers opt to stay in a high-rise building that boasts luxury features like a swimming pool, a gym, or a more modern look and feel, she would be more likely looking at rental payments of more than $4,000 a month.

If she opts to live closer to the Dallas Wings’ home base in Arlington, TX, then she might find something a bit cheaper—but it’s still likely that she would be required to pay more than $2,400 a month for a unit in a high-rise building, according to the rental listings on Realtor.com.

Meanwhile, purchasing a home could also be an option for Bueckers, given her unique financial situation, which might leave her inclined to invest some of her social media earnings in real estate.

But even then, her monthly mortgage payments would take up just under half of her monthly WNBA salary, according to Realtor.com data.

The median list price for a home in Dallas was $423,500 as of March 2025. Assuming that a buyer secures a 6.62% mortgage rate and puts 20% down, the monthly payment would work out to be about $2,168.

Luckily for Bueckers, she has other forms of income to supplement her base salary—leaving her in a unique position compared with some of her fellow WNBA draft picks.

One of her most recent deals, according to ESPN, was a three-year contract with the three-on-three league Unrivaled, a professional basketball tournament that was co-founded by WNBA stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier.

ESPN reports that Bueckers’ salary for the league’s 10-week season would “exceed what she would make in four years of her WNBA rookie contract.” The outlet did not state what that figure might be.
