With Election Day nearing, Taylor Swift took to Instagram to remind her fans of the importance of voting, sharing a message that quickly resonated. While celebrating the final U.S. shows of her Eras Tour, she emphasized civic participation. So, what exactly did Taylor Swift say, and how might it impact the upcoming election?

Let’s delve into the details of Swift’s political statement and its potential impact.

Taylor Swift writes a note on Instagram about US Presidential election

Taylor Swift marked the conclusion of the U.S. leg of her Eras Tour with an important message to her fans, urging them to vote on Election Day.

Reflecting on the experience, Swift shared on Instagram, “Couldn’t have asked for a more magical way to end our US shows on The Eras Tour. Just had the time of my life with 207,000 beautiful people in Indianapolis who showered us with so much love and excitement and joy… Thank you to everyone who came out to see us on our last 3 American shows!!” She further added, “And here’s a friendly but extremely important reminder that tomorrow is the US Election and your last chance to vote ?️ ??”

Swift endorsed Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in September, describing Harris as “a steady-handed, gifted leader” focused on calm and progress. “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them,” Swift posted on Instagram. She also praised Walz’s support of LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive rights, and IVF.

In response, Walz expressed gratitude, calling Swift’s support “eloquent” and “courageous” in an interview with MSNBC. In a video for Wired, Harris echoed this, stating, “I really respect the courage that she has had in her career to stand up for what she believes is right.”

Swift’s reminder to vote aligned with her excitement about wrapping up her tour with nine Canadian shows. Her Election Day message urged civic participation, especially for first-time voters. “Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make,” she wrote.
