The University of East London (UEL) has achieved exceptional results in the 2024 National Student Survey (NSS), reaching historic milestones and reinforcing its reputation as a leading student-focused, careers-oriented institution. UEL has advanced from 13th to 3rd place nationally (and best in London) out of 139 higher education institutions, reflecting a significant increase in student positivity.
Key achievements include:
- Teaching quality ranked 9th nationally, placing UEL first in London
- Learning opportunities rose to 4th nationally and first in London
- Assessment and feedback improved to 7th nationally, and second in London
- Academic support saw a notable rise, moving UEL 40 places higher nationally
With 76% of UEL students participating, exceeding the national average by 4%, the NSS remains a crucial measure of student satisfaction across the UK.
