U21 talent Ambrosino targeted by Cremonese as well as Cagliari

Italy Under-21 international Giuseppe Ambrosino could get his Serie A chance with Cremonese and Cagliari interested in a loan from Napoli.

According to Sky Sport Italia, there are two sides in the top flight eager to launch the striker’s career.

Newly promoted Cremonese are keeping a close eye on the Ambrosino situation, after Cagliari had already made an approach and were close to a deal.

Ambrosino looking for Serie A opportunity

A product of the Napoli youth academy, the centre-forward has been on a series of loan experiences in the lower levels of Italian football, including Como, Cittadella and Catanzaro.

He was in Serie B this season with Frosinone, scoring five goals and providing four assists in 36 games.

Ambrosino also participated in the European Under-21 Championship with Italy and now has two goals and an assist in 11 caps at this level.

His 22nd birthday is in September and he is looking to finally make his debut in Serie A.
