Hong Kong dazzles with its one-of-a-kind fusion of tradition and modernity. The contemporary skyline full of high-rises contrast with its busy street markets and historic temples, while world-class museums and galleries draw culture seekers from around the world. But this financial hub of Asia, with more than 7 million residents, also offers another major attraction: several of the best hotels in the world, known for their outstanding hospitality and cinematic Victoria Harbour views. It’s no surprise, then, that the Hong Kong hotels recognized in this year’s World’s Best Awards survey stood out for more than just design—they deliver the kind of service, guest experiences, restaurants, and a sense of place that reflects the city’s vibrant identity.
How Voting Works
Every year for our World’s Best Awards survey, T+L asks readers to weigh in on travel experiences around the globe—to share their opinions on the top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more. Nearly 180,000 T+L readers completed the 2025 survey. A total of more than 657,000 votes were cast across over 8,700 properties (hotels, cities, cruise lines, etc.).
Hotels were classified as either resort hotel, city hotel, inn, or safari lodge based on their location and amenities, and they were specifically rated on the criteria below:
For each characteristic, respondents could choose a rating of excellent, above average, average, below average, or poor. The final scores are averages of these responses.

What Readers Loved
Since reopening after three years of pandemic closure, Hong Kong has come roaring back as a destination for readers, who have enthusiastically returned to their favorite hotels (or to scope out new ones). The waterfront, 413-room Rosewood Hong Kong is this year’s runner-up, and only debuted in 2019. It earned its spot thanks to fantastic Victoria Harbour views, an outdoor infinity pool, world-class dining (including Michelin-starred restaurants Chaat, which specializes in Indian cuisine, and The Legacy House, which serves Cantonese classics), and the Asaya holistic wellness center.
Claiming the No. 3 spot is the 513-room Conrad Hong Kong in the city’s Admiralty district, directly above the Pacific Place shopping mall, with proximity to the 20-acre Hong Kong Park and the Peak Tram (the funicular railway that transports riders up into the hills of the island). This year’s winner was described by one reader as having “incredible service, which makes it feel like home.” Read on to find out more.

Perched on the edge of Victoria Harbour in the Kowloon area of Hong Kong, this year’s winner (for the second year) offers a front-row seat to one of the world’s most iconic skylines. Following a sweeping transformation two years ago, the property is now known for blending a sleek, contemporary aesthetic with unmatched service. One reader, noting the sophisticated interiors and attentive staff, mentioned that “each visit brings me a sense of peace, thanks to the welcoming atmosphere. The staff consistently demonstrates friendliness and helpfulness.” Another praised Regent’s “absolutely breathtaking” views, and raved that “the service was exceptional. Plus, the location couldn’t be better—right next to a high-end shopping mall. It’s the perfect spot for a memorable experience.”
