Thetford stabbing: Elvis Price wanted by Norfolk police

Officers have named Elvis Price, 18, as one of two people they want to speak to about the attack on Danny Norman in Thetford three weeks ago.

Mr Norman, who is in his 30s, was with his fiancée and their two daughters when he was stabbed at around 11.45am on Sunday, March 10.

He was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in life-threatening condition although police now say his condition is stable.

The photograph of Price released by police was taken at around the time of the incident very close to the scene of the attack on Old Bury Road.

Officers said he was last seen in blue jeans, a green long-sleeved top, a black gilet, and black and white Nike trainers – the clothes he is wearing in the image.

He is described as around 6ft tall, of skinny build, with short, dark hair.

Police say he is known to have links to Essex, Kent and Cambridgeshire.

He is believed to be with a younger male, although officers are not revealing any details about him due to his age.

Norfolk police had been under increasing pressure in Thetford to provide information about the ongoing manhunt.

Last week, Carla Barreto, a town councillor, said locals were increasingly concerned that there had been no update.

“Police should be able to give more information to the public, even if it is reassurance to put people in the community at ease,” she said.

Sources in the town say the stabbing followed a long-running dispute and police have confirmed those involved knew each other.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Norfolk Police.
