Robot from China and other countries are training at the speed skating venue of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. 

Eyeing each other up before the big game. These robot football players mean business.

They are preparing for the inaugural World Humanoid Robot Games scheduled to take place nezt week in Beijing.

This training runout featured robots from the the Shanhai Team of the China Agricultural University, runners-up at the RoboCup World Cup in Brazil in June.

The goalkeeper here helpless to prevent a slow-moving ball from finding the back of the net.

They are programmed to get up after falling over while many human footballers stay writhing on the ground.

Thirty robot teams from countries such as the United States, Brazil, Germany and Portugal have entered.
