GRANITE BAY, Calif. — Big names from sports, entertainment and beyond hit the course Monday for a good cause at the 5th Annual Phil Oates Celebrity Golf Classic, held at the scenic Granite Bay Golf Club.

Hosted by Sacramento Kings co-owner Phil Oates, the star-studded tournament brings together celebrities and community leaders to raise funds for local and statewide charities. 

Proceeds from the event will benefit a wide range of organizations, including the Bayside Foundation, Destiny Christian Academy, First Tee, Battlefields to Ballfields and the UC Davis Men’s Basketball program, among others, which support youth, education and veterans.

The event kicked off Sunday night with an exclusive VIP Pairings Party presented by Buzz Oates, where players, sponsors and invited guests enjoyed dinner, casino games and both silent and live auctions.

This year’s celebrity lineup is packed with recognizable faces, featuring athletes like Barry Bonds, Marcus Allen and Mike Bibby, as well as entertainers such as Cedric the Entertainer, Anthony Anderson and Dennis Haysbert. Also attending are Sugar Ray Leonard, Matt Barnes, Scot Pollard, Steve Garvey and many more.

The Granite Bay Golf Club, located in the heart of the Greater Sacramento area, offers an elevated golf experience with its newly redesigned course, top-tier turf conditions and year-round playability.

A passionate advocate for Sacramento, Oates has long been dedicated to giving back through philanthropy and faith-based initiatives.

His efforts through the tournament have continued to strengthen ties within the community and generate meaningful support for local causes.

The Phil Oates Celebrity Golf Classic is presented by Bayside Church and Destiny Community Services, with support from sponsors including Buzz Oates, Dyer Construction, Pacific Coast Building Products, Cook Engineering, Morgan Stanley and Applied Underwriters.
