Serie A Preview: How every club could line up in 2025-26

A new Serie A season is about to begin, and here’s how the 20 clubs in Italy’s top flight could line up in 2025-26.

Saturday, August 23, 2025, is the red-letter day for all Serie A enthusiasts as a new campaign will begin, starting with Sassuolo-Napoli and Genoa-Lecce.

There will be many changes, starting from coaches, as more than half of Serie A clubs have changed their man at the helm for the new campaign.

To name a few, the likes of Massimiliano Allegri, Stefano Pioli and Maurizio Sarri have returned to their former clubs Milan, Fiorentina and Lazio. Christian Chivu has returned to Inter after winning the treble in 2010 as a player. Newly-promoted side Cremonese have hired survival specialist Davide Nicola.

The revolution on the pitch is not complete yet, as the summer transfer window will only end in two weeks, right after Round 2.

There are, however, several new signings that have stolen headlines even before the ball has started rolling, including Jonathan David of Juventus and Ardon Jashari of Milan.

In this article, Football Italia looks to the possible starting XI for each Serie A club in the 2025-26 campaign (players in CAPITAL LETTERS are new signings).
