Rafael Leao could return to the Milan starting line-up, but Massimiliano Allegri will have to do without several key first-team players when Stefano Pioli returns to San Siro with his winless Fiorentina side on Sunday evening.

Kick-off is due at 19.45 BST.

The international break has not been kind to the Rossoneri, who will have to do without Christian Pulisic, Adrien Rabiot, Christopher Nkunku and possibly Pervis Estupinan and Ruben Loftus-Cheek against Fiorentina on Sunday. That means several enforced changes for Allegri.

The more positive news is that Rafael Leao is back and available, and is expected to replace Pulisic in attack for Milan on Sunday. There could be a rare starting opportunity for Samuele Ricci in the absence of Rabiot.

Sky Sport Italia predicts that there will be a further reshuffle from Allegri, who could field Alexis Saelemaekers in one of the two attacking roles in his 3-5-2. If that is the case, then there could reportedly be an opportunity for summer signing Zachary Athekame at right wing-back.

Stefano Pioli, the most recent Milan coach to win the Scudetto, will return looking for his first Serie A win after returning to Fiorentina over the summer.

Moise Kean has travelled and is in contention to start, despite withdrawing from the Italy national team squad through injury during the October break. Albert Gudmundsson is also expected to start in attack.
