New London Restaurants in The MICHELIN Guide

With dozens of international cuisines represented across a dining scene that boasts over 80 MICHELIN-Starred establishments and 40+ Bib Gourmands, London is quite simply one of the best places to eat around the globe. With new London restaurants constantly opening and familiar favourites always evolving, here are the Inspectors’ latest additions to The MICHELIN Guide.

We’re off to the Mediterranean this month, with three quarters of The MICHELIN Guide’s latest London restaurants serving food inspired by countries with noticeably warmer climates than our own. Whether you’re trying to transport yourself to Rome or Athens, Sardinia or Corfu, we’ve got you covered with all the Inspectors’ latest finds.

Italian

It stands to reason that a good hotel is made even better by housing an equally good restaurant. In that department, the quirkily luxurious Broadwick Soho – recognised for its quality with a MICHELIN Key – is delivering. Dear Jackie is an Italian restaurant with glamour to spare, where the pared-back but impressively executed cooking is made even better by the colourful surroundings.

Greek

The team behind Chelsea’s Wild Tavern have opened another smartly conceived restaurant in one of London’s more affluent areas. Greek food is the focus this time, with an authentic feel to the country cooking-inspired menu that draws on family recipes in places. Fans of proper Greek olive oil, taramasalata and hearty stews to share with family will not be disappointed.

Modern Cuisine

The money-paved streets of Mayfair are somewhere you rarely find restaurants with a proper neighbourhood feel. Silva bucks that trend with an inviting all-day offering that puts its produce front-and-centre. The service comes with a touch more formality than your usual local haunt, but then you must remember where you are.

Mediterranean Cuisine

If you’re one of London’s artists, then the chances are you’ll appreciate this stylish restaurant just off the Strand, operated by the owners of Frieze magazine. The cooking owes a debt to Italy, the kind of ingredient-led business that will never lose its appeal. Think bright salads, handmade pastas and a few dishes from our old friend, the wood-fired grill.
