New Coffee Roasting Equipment and Tech

Roasteries large and small grew increasingly full of hot air this year, with multiple innovations emerging from makers of fluid-bed coffee roasting equipment.

Artificial intelligence also continued its unrelenting flood within the coffee machine industry through a range of new analytical tools and intelligent sensors built into and for roasters and roasting equipment.

Meanwhile, tariffs imposed by the Trump administration have disrupted the traditional flow of manufacturing materials in and out of the U.S., challenging companies to alter timelines or abruptly shift market strategies.

Yet even with these obstacles, the forward march of technology kept moving. Here, we pause to admire the wide variety of new equipment for professional roasters and roasteries that debuted in 2025.

Daily Coffee News’ 2025 Year in Review is our annual look back at the people, places and ideas that shaped coffee this year. Read the series here.
