McDonald’s confirms 8 brand new menu items in the UK

The restaurant chain will launch its ‘International Flavour Heist’ from October 22 across its stores in the UK and Ireland.

The new McDonald’s menu will feature items popular in the chain worldwide, but never before available in the UK.

It will see meals from the likes of Japan, Canada, Australia, Poland, Malaysia, and more all be available in the UK for a limited time.

McDonald’s announces eight brand-new menu items

The eight new items on the menu are:

  • Maple BBQ & Bacon Double Quarter Pounder – Canada
  • Pineapple McSpicy – Australia
  • Garlic & Black Pepper McNuggets – Japan
  • McShaker Fries – Poland
  • Mac & Cheese Triangles – United Arab Emirates
  • Choco Caramel Pie – Indonesia
  • Chocolate or Caramel Pretzel McFlurry – Malaysia
  • Sakura x Sprite – Japan

The Pineapple McSpicy comes from Australia and is made of a fiery chicken burger, balanced by a juicy slice of tropical pineapple with bacon, cheese and lettuce served on a toasted sesame seed bun.

Garlic and Black Pepper McNuggets originate from Japan and feature a garlic and black pepper coating served with a Garlic and Soy Mayo dip.

McDonald’s is also changing its fries, with Poland’s Sour Cream and Black Pepper McShaker Fries.

The fries come with a sachet of sour cream & black pepper seasoning that you shake in the bag.

Guests at McDonald’s can also try two new desserts for a limited time, with the Choco Caramel Pie from Indonesia, a chocolatey dessert with molten caramel and chocolate ganache.

McDonald’s will also have one special drink, with the Sakura x Sprite from Japan, described as a “floral, fizzy refreshment with a Japanese twist”.

The new menu will be available in McDonald’s across the UK from October 22.
