Marianas Visitors Authority (MVA) to position the Marianas as a premier destination in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Marianas Visitors Authority (MVA), along with its members such as Century Tours, Sky Dive Saipan, and E-Land, participated in ITE Hong Kong at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center from June 13-16, 2024.

This prestigious travel fair attracted over 70,000 attendees, featuring 40 destinations and 515 exhibitors, including key and emerging markets for visitors from Hong Kong and South China.

Strengthening Ties and Promoting Tourism
“Our participation in ITE Hong Kong 2024 was a resounding success, enabling us to strengthen ties with key stakeholders, promote tourism between Hong Kong and the Marianas, and showcase the unique offerings of our destination,” said MVA Marketing Manager Thomas Kim.

“It provided a valuable platform to connect with travel enthusiasts, industry professionals, and potential visitors, further positioning The Marianas as a must-visit destination in the Asia-Pacific region.”

Engaging Attendees with Creative Activities
At the MVA booth, a series of creative activities engaged attendees, creating a buzz around the Marianas. Visitors were encouraged to follow MVA’s Instagram page and participate in a fun photo booth experience with Marianas-themed props.

These photos were shared on social media, spreading awareness about the destination. Small giveaway items were also provided, enhancing the experience and leaving a lasting impression.

Significant Impact on Visitor Numbers
So far this fiscal year, the Marianas has welcomed about 9,000 visitors from China.

Prior to the pandemic, in FY 2019, the Marianas received nearly 190,000 visitors from China, a top source market alongside South Korea.

Conclusion
MVA’s participation in ITE Hong Kong 2024 marks a significant milestone in promoting the Marianas.

By reconnecting with the travel industry and engaging with potential visitors, MVA continues to position the Marianas as a premier destination in the Asia-Pacific region.

The successful return to this event highlights the ongoing efforts to revive and boost tourism in the post-pandemic era.
