The 10th edition of the Kauvery Hospital marathon held here on Sunday received good response from the people.

A large number of participants took part in the marathon, which was aimed at creating awareness on cancer and early detection. The marathon, which featured the 21.1-km half marathon, 10-km timed run, and 5-km fun run, witnessed participation from fitness enthusiasts, families, professionals, and the people of all walks of life.

K.N. Nehru, Minister for Municipal Administration, flagged off the marathon at Khajmalai. Collector V. Saravanan, Commissioner of Police N. Kamini, Mayor M. Anbazhagan, Corporation Commissioner L. Madhubalan and Kauvery Hospital’s co-founder and executive director D. Senguttuvan were present. Mr. Saravanan gave away the prizes.
