Man who’s visited every country in the world reveals the one place that was most scary

A man who has visited every single country in the world has detailed the one place which he found the most scary.

Drew Binsky’s travels are well documented on his YouTube channel, having told many incredible stories to his millions of followers.

The content creator has previously told UNILAD about the best place in the world that has ‘everything you could want’, but given Drew has visited every single country on the planet, he has also had some unpleasant experiences.

There is, of course, no doubt that to travel every single corner of the globe, you’re going to run into some sketchy places at one point or another.

In a video titled ‘Top five places where I felt the most unsafe as a traveller’, Drew revealed the one place he personally found to be the scariest to visit.

He said: “I travelled to every country in the world. Here are the five places I felt most unsafe. Number one is Mogadishu, which is the capital of the East African country Somalia.”

He went on: “This place has no rules, no laws. Al-Shabaab is present, which is an off-shoot of Al-Qaeda. Every time you leave your hotel you have to have a convoy in the front and back with four bulletproof vest military guys sitting on the beds of each truck with huge AK-47s in their hand, scouting out the area before you go.

“Last time I went, I visited my friend at the Hyatt Hotel, which actually is gone because it was attacked. It’s just very scary and very unfortunate.”

Americans have been issued with a ‘Do not travel’ warning for Somalia due to ‘crime, terrorism, civil unrest, health, kidnapping, piracy, and lack of availability of routine consular services’.

Speaking to UNILAD last year, Drew lifted the lid on another scary place he will be in no hurry on making a return to.

“Back in 2018, I spent time in N’Djamena, Chad’s capital, and largest city. Never in my life have I been more scared, threatened, or attacked (both verbally and physically) than I was in that hot, dusty, and beaten-down, deserted city,” the 34-year-old explained.

Drew continued: “I was involved in a disastrous police chase on a motorbike and was attacked by over a dozen people for trying to take a photo. If it wasn’t for my 6’6” local friend (AKA Bodyguard), then I’m not sure I would have made it out of that country alive – no joke!

“The lessons I learned from my experience there are the following: always ask before taking a photo of anyone, avoid crowds, including any demonstrations or protests.”
