Man arrested for disregarding child support orders

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 44-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 3, for disregarding the court’s child support orders, according to the news release by the El Paso County Constable’s Office for Precinct 3.

Julio Cesar Rodriguez, 44, was arrested on an active warrant for criminal non-support issued back in June 2020 for failing to appear at a court hearing, disregarding the court’s child support orders.

On Wednesday, a sergeant with the Constable’s Office received information of an active warrant for Rodriguez, who was observed entering a vehicle on the 3600 block of Almond Beach.

A traffic stop was conducted, and Rodriguez was taken into custody and booked into the county jail with no bond, according to the Constable’s Office.

Constable Hector Bernal said that these types of warrants are often overlooked by law enforcement agencies.

He would like to remind the community that his deputies will be “vigilantly executing” these types of warrants, looking for offenders, according to the news release.

Tips may be submitted to (915) 273-3590 (Constable Office for Precinct 3) or through Crime Stoppers at (915) 566-8477.
