Sunday’s reports claim that Juventus are taking steps towards handing Kenan Yildiz another new and improved contract extension, despite his having signed a new deal with the Bianconeri less than a year ago.

Juventus have always considered Yildiz as one of the key players for the club’s future, an opinion that has only been fortified with the recent appointment of Damien Comolli as the club’s new general manager.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the club sees Yildiz as the ‘poster boy’. His no.10 shirt is the most popular both in Italy and abroad and he is also making a strong impression on sponsors and commercial partners.

In order to keep the relationship going for many years to come, the Bianconeri are already planning to hand Yildiz another new and improved contract extension according to Sunday’s reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Turkiye international already signed a new deal at the start of the 2024-25 season, also receiving the club’s iconic no.10 shirt at the same time.

Yildiz is currently tied to the club until 2029 on a contract that earns him around €1.5m per season in wages. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus intend to increase that salary by at least double, to somewhere in the region of €3m-€4m per season.

Given that Yildiz already has four years left to go on his current deal, a new contract is only likely to run for one additional year, which would be until the summer of 2030 if a new agreement is signed this summer.
