Jeff Bezos recently visited Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s $60 million house with his wife, Lauren Sanchez. The newlyweds are seemingly looking for a property in California and thus took a peek at the former married couple’s Beverly Hills estate. According to a source, the billionaire pair rejected the mansion because it “screamed over-the-top.” Sanchez reportedly felt that the house looked like “J.Lo’s old music video” set.
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez left J.Lo and Ben Affleck’s house tour halfway, says ‘source’
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s taste didn’t match with Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s estate choices. A source told Rob Shuter #ShuterScoop that the new married couple left the $60 million Beverly Hills mansion tour halfway. Throwing shade at the interior design, the Amazon founder compared the house to “Versailles had a baby with a Vegas penthouse.”
It seemed the divorced couple’s property, which included 17 bathrooms, marble flooring, a massive garage, huge velvet drapes, and gold-plated chandeliers, was not to Bezos and Sanchez’s liking. They have been looking for something easy on the eyes, like more “refined, understated, and architectural.”
Naturally, the billionaire couple is not concerned about money, but they want style, which apparently lacked in J.Lo and her ex-husband’s mansion. “Jeff said it lacked warmth. They want something modern but soulful,” the insider mentioned. Reportedly, Bezos and his wife were supposed to check the estate for an hour; however, they left within 20 minutes.
Earlier this month, reports suggested that Lopez and Affleck might take the property off the real estate market. Since the divorce, the celebrities have been finding it difficult to sell the luxury house. Shuter quoted a source and revealed that the singer never liked the manor. It was Affleck’s decision to buy it as he thought of it to be a “private” estate. Now, the 56-year-old singer is “paying the price” post-separation.
According to the recent report, Bezos and Sanchez have also rejected the infamous house. For those unversed, the two tied the knot last month in Venice, Italy. On the other hand, J.Lo married Affleck in 2022 after rekindling their romance a year ago. She filed for divorce in 2024, which was finalized in January this year.
