Cristian Chivu has a fit and available squad at his disposal for tonight’s European clash. There had been some doubts surrounding Ange-Yoan Bonny earlier this week, but the Frenchman was unlikely to start over Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram regardless.
Chivu confirmed during his pre-match press conference that Yann Sommer would return in goal, having given an opportunity to Josep Martinez during the 2-0 win over Cagliari in Serie A this weekend.
The Swiss veteran will be protected by a back three comprising Yann Bisseck, Francesco Acerbi and Alessandro Bastoni.
Petar Sucic starts alongside Hakan Calhanoglu and Piotr Zielinski in midfield, meaning rests for Nicolo Barella and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
