Indie App Spotlight: ‘Auvio’ lets you create endless soundscapes on your iPhone

Welcome to Indie App Spotlight. This is a weekly 9to5Mac series where we showcase the latest apps in the indie app world. If you’re a developer and would like your app featured, get in contact.

Auvio is a neat audio engine for your iPhone. It offers everything you’d need to create your own immersive and personal soundscapes, whether you want them to fall asleep to, for focusing, or for studying.

Top features

Firstly, Auvio can function completely offline, offers no ads, and offers a minimal yet intuitive UI.

With Auvio, you can create your own soundscapes. You can add up to six layers, and add in your own per-track effects. You can truly make your own mixes to match your needs – for sleep, meditation, focus, and more. Those layers include rain, firelight, city ambience, and more.

The app prides itself on being able to create seamless loops without any breaks or abrupt stops.

Outside of being able to make your own tracks, Auvio has its own ‘studio-quality’ library, with over 150 hand-edited loops. You can even edit those templates for your own liking.

All in all, if you regularly find yourself enjoying those YouTube livestreams with endless background music to chill or relax to, you might like Auvio. The level of granularity it offers in such a simple interface really makes for a unique experience that’s hard to find elsewhere.

Download the app

Auvio is available on the App Store with a 7 day free trial, and $3.99/month afterwards. It’s available for iPhone and iPad models running iOS 16 and later.
