Impossible 8 Cast Adds Love Lies Bleeding’s Katy O’Brian


Following her breakout performance in Love Lies Bleeding, Deadline brings word that Katy O’Brian has been tapped to join Tom Cruise in Paramount Pictures’ long-delayed Mission: Impossible 8.

Further details about her character remain under wraps. This marks O’Brian’s second high-profile movie after previously appearing in 2023’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. She also had recurring roles in popular shows like The Walking Dead, Black Lightning, Agents of SHIELD, and The Mandalorian.

Who’s involved in Mission: Impossible 8?

Written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie, Mission: Impossible 8 was originally titled as Dead Reckoning Part Two, serving as a follow-up to the 2023 movie which earned a worldwide gross of over $530 million. The next installment will star returning cast members Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Vanessa Kirby, Henry Czerny, Shea Whigham, Pom Klementieff, and Esai Morales. They will be joined by Mission: Impossible newcomers Holt McCallany, Nick Offerman, Janet McTee,r and Hannah Waddingham.

Mission: Impossible 8 is slated to arrive in theaters on May 23, 2025.
