A thief broke into a Big C Mobile store in Hyderabad’s LB Nagar by drilling a hole in a side wall of the store- big enough for a person to crawl through, instead of choosing a typical break-in. He managed to steal smartphones worth Rs 3.5 lakh. The entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed inside the shop.According to media reports, the incident occurred at around 3:30 am late night on June 29. The theft took place on the busy Dilsukhnagar–Koti main road in Hyderabad.In the viral post, a hammer can be seen lying near the staircase, which the thief used along with a crowbar to break through the side wall of the mobile store. His face is completely covered throughout the footage. He is seen effortlessly sliding into the shop through the hole, casually moving around as he carefully picks six mobile phones from different shelves. After collecting the devices, he calmly exits through the same hole.

Netizens stunned by thief’s calm and calculated heist

The viral post of the Hyderabad mobile heist has left social media users shocked. Users flooded social media with stunned reactions. Many expressed disbelief and even sarcastic admiration for the thief’s calm and calculated approach. Comments ranged from, “You drilled a wall and only took phones worth Rs 3.5 lakhs?” one user wrote. Another said “How did no one hear anything?”

CCTV footage being checked to track intruder

As per the media reports, Malakpet police have filed a case and launched an investigation into the incident. Officials have secured the nearby surveillance cameras and CCTV footage from the store. The suspect is yet to be identified, and efforts are underway to trace his movements and gather leads.
