A survey conducted by Hong Kong news outlet St Headline among local entertainment figures found that Vietnam ranks among the countries most favored by stars.
The artists highlighted not only Vietnam’s natural beauty but also the charm of its hotels and resorts. Some described the country as the new “hot spot” for celebrities, while traditional favorites like Japan and Thailand remain popular.
Among the respondents, singer Tiger, a member of the popular boy band Mirror, noted that several of his colleagues recently visited Vietnam and recommended resorts on Phu Quoc Island.
In recent years, top Hong Kong celebrities have increasingly traveled with friends and family to Vietnam’s coastal regions. In August, singer-actress Gillian Chung vacationed at a resort on Phu Quoc. Close friends, actress and beauty queen Linda Chung and singer-actress Myolie Wu, have also visited multiple times with their spouses and children. On social media, Wu praised the island for its delicious food, clear waters, and soft sand.

Many celebrities prefer to visit Phu Quoc during the ideal travel season from November to April, when rainfall is low, the sea is calm, and outdoor activities are most enjoyable.
