The SAR government is keen on leveraging regional development experiences to bolster its strategic initiatives, particularly the Northern Metropolis, a proposed new township near the boundary that covers one-third of Hong Kong’s land to house one-third of its population.

The Northern Metropolis is considered an important platform to promote high-quality economic cooperation with the Greater Bay Area and for Hong Kong to integrate into the overall national development.

The SAR delegation will also include senior management members from organizations such as the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the MTR Corp Ltd, the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corp, the Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Ltd, and the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Ltd.

Representatives from the eight universities funded by the University Grants Committee, along with key figures from the business, finance, and banking sectors, will also participate.
