25th June 2025 – (Hong Kong) The Hang Seng Index opened higher on Tuesday, gaining 150 points or 0.62% to reach 24,327 points. The National Enterprises Index rose by 65 points, an increase of 0.74%, to stand at 8,825 points, while the Technology Index climbed 47 points, or 0.89%, to 5,345 points.
Technology stocks showed strong performance, with Tencent rising by 0.4%, Alibaba increasing by 2%, Meituan up by 0.3%, Xiaomi gaining 0.9%, and Kuaishou also rising by 0.9%.
In the financial sector, stocks displayed mixed results. HSBC Holdings saw a rise of 0.4%, while AIA Group fell by 0.9%. China Ping An remained unchanged, and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing rose by 0.6%.
Meanwhile, oil prices continued to decline, leading to mixed performance among oil stocks. CNOOC showed no change, while PetroChina increased by 0.4% and Sinopec rose by 0.2%.
