German goalkeeper Max Weiß joins Burnley – The Home of Irish Football

Burnley have added goalkeeper Max Weiß to their ranks, signing the 21-year-old from Karlsruher SC on a four-year deal.


Weiß began his footballing career in the academies of TSG Hoffenheim and SV Sandhausen, before joining Karlsruher in 2019. In 2022, he signed his first professional contract with the club.


During the 2024/25 season, the Germany youth international featured in every match for the 2. Bundesliga side.


On the international stage, Weiß has represented Germany at Under-18 through to Under-20 level.


Speaking to burnleyfootballclub.com, Weiß said: “I’m really excited to be here. It’s an amazing club with big ambition, and all the conversations I’ve had with people from here have been so good and very positive.


“The training ground facility looks amazing, the pitches are so nice, and I can’t wait to get in for pre-season and meet the rest of the team.”
