As a result, the excitement of supporters is gradually building, with the anticipation of yet another entertaining top-flight campaign.

Every Premier League Stadium Ranked by Journalist Who’s Visited All 20

After visiting all 20 top flight venues, a definitive ranking of the worst to best has been revealed

20

Leeds United

Position last season: 1st (Championship)

Leeds United

What AI said: “Promoted via the Championship, Leeds face a tough return. Supercomputers and AI suggest they’ll go straight back down, continuing the trend of promoted teams struggling.”

The trend of newly-promoted teams being relegated back to the Championship after one top-flight season has become a slight concern to football supporters across the country. The AI, however, doesn’t expect last term’s Championship winners Leeds United to buck that trend and survive. Daniel Farke’s less-than-impressive Premier League record may play a part in this prediction.

19

Burnley

Position last season: 2nd (Championship)

burnley scott parker

What AI said: “Despite a strong Championship season, Scott Parker’s side may struggle, with potential losses like James Trafford weakening their defence. Supercomputers predict relegation.”

Once again, it’s a case of heading straight back down to the second tier for Scott Parker’s Burnley. After keeping an impressive 30 clean sheets last season, the Clarets are expected to lose England youth international goalkeeper James Trafford. They are expected to struggle as a result.

18

Wolves

Position last season: 16th

wolves

What AI said: “AI models predict relegation after losing Matheus Cunha to Manchester United, with Vitor Pereira struggling to replace his output.”

AI has predicted one of the Premier League’s regulars to fill the third relegation spot. Wolves had concerns of dropping out of the top flight in the 2024-25 season after a horrific start under Gary O’Neil, but Vitor Pereira and Matheus Cunha pulled the Old Gold out of danger in the second part of the campaign. The latter has now left, meaning his 15 goals will need to be replaced effectively.

17

Sunderland

Position last season: 4th (Championship)

Wilson Isidor

What AI said: “The only promoted team AI predicts to survive, with 30 points under Regis Le Bris, though they’ll face challenges in their first season back since 2016/17.”

2025-26 Premier League Table Predicted After First 7 Gameweeks

Liverpool are predicted to be neck and neck with Man City and Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table after the opening seven weeks.

In a surprise turn of events, play-off winners Sunderland are the only new team predicted to survive. The Black Cats headed to Wembley as underdogs against Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United, but a stunning late turnaround saw them return to the Premier League for the first time since 2017. Wilson Isidor and Eliezer Mayenda’s ability to contribute goals to the side will be vital if this is to become a reality.

16

West Ham

Position last season: 14th

West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen claps his hands

What AI said: “Inconsistent performances and a lack of major signings could see them hover above the relegation zone.”

West Ham United supporters may have thought a 14th-placed finish in 2024-25 was a disaster, but AI thinks it’ll be more of the same for the lacklustre Hammers under Graham Potter this time around. The Irons are even expected to drop to 16th, with Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus’ futures in doubt.

15

Brighton

Position last season: 8th

Joao Pedro celebrating his goal for Brighton vs Arsenal

What AI said: “A dip in form is possible after a strong 2024/25, with some X predictions placing them near the bottom.”

The biggest shock of the AI prediction so far comes in the dramatic drop-off from Brighton & Hove Albion. Fabian Hurzeler did a fantastic job as the youngest-ever manager in the competition last time out, guiding the Seagulls to 8th place. However, an unexpected dip all the way to 15th would be a devastating blow.

14

Bournemouth

Position last season: 9th

Bournemouth Enes Unal

What AI said: “Potential sales of key players like Milos Kerkez could see them drop to mid-table, despite a solid 2024/25.”

Andoni Iraola has done a superb job ever since taking the reigns at the Vitality Stadium. The Spaniard’s high-intensity style of play saw the Cherries claim multiple scalps such as Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal last term, but a completely new back five after losing the likes of Kepa, Milos Kerkez and Dean Huijsen could derail his project for the next 12 months.

13

Fulham

Position last season:11th

Emile Smith Rowe-1

What AI said: “Predicted to stay in the lower mid-table, they lack the firepower to push higher but should avoid relegation comfortably.”

Fulham looked like they could make a serious charge towards the European places last term before a drop in form saw the Cottagers land in 11th place. Still a respectable position for the west Londoners, they are predicted to drop two places, with Marco Silva’s men tipped for 13th place.

12

Tottenham

Position last season: 17th

James Maddison celebrates scoring in the Premier League for Tottenham

What AI said: “After a disappointing 2024/25 (near the drop zone), Thomas Frank’s side should improve with Champions League funds but may struggle to crack the top half.”

Supercomputer Predicts 2025-26 Premier League Table in Full

The Premier League table could look very different in some key areas this time next year.

Europa League winners Tottenham are hopeful of a dramatic improvement from their disastrous 2024-25 campaign. Ange Postecoglou may have ended the club’s 17-year wait for silverware, but even that couldn’t save his job after a 17th-place finish in the league. Thomas Frank has a lot of work to do while also balancing Champions League commitments.

11

Manchester United

Position last season: 15th

Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo in conversation for Manchester United

What AI said: “Ruben Amorim’s rebuild is underway, but a tough opening schedule (Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea) and a thin squad suggest a gradual climb to mid-table.”

How long can Ruben Amorim survive in the Old Trafford dugout if he steers Manchester United to a second successive bottom-half finish? The Portuguese boss went on record several times last term to state that a period of suffering was ahead of the Red Devils, but the arrival of Matheus Cunha has signalled intent to climb the Premier League table.
