Donald Trump Lisping: Donald Trump explains his slurring, lisping in interview with Musk: ‘Strange’

Former president Donald Trump took to Truth Social after he was heard lisping and slurring in the X interview with Elon Musk and acknowledged that he sounded strange. But it was not owing to any medical reason, the GOP presidential candidate said adding that it was because of the “complexity of modern day equipment, and cellphone technology”.
“My conversation with Elon last night was heard by a RECORD audience, and was really something special, as Elon himself is very special – and I thank him for such a strong Endorsement! Unfortunately, because of the complexity of modern day equipment, and cellphone technology, my voice was, in certain areas, somewhat different and strange. Therefore, we have put out an actual, and perfect, recording of the conversation. ENJOY!!!” Trump posted.

That Trump was slurring in his interview did not evade the ears of the keen listeners after the GOP continued to raise alarm over President Joe Biden’s health. Democrats demanded a full medical exam of the 78-year-old former president to ascertain whether he had any neurological conditions. But Trump campaign claimed that Trump was neither drunk, nor lisping and only the audio was compressed resulting in the apparent strangeness in his voice.
Social media users, however, were not convinced and pointed out that Trump lisped in the new audio as well and Elon Musk was not lisping in either of the audio. It must be a problem of Trump’s microphone then, some observed. “Twitter staff working frantically to deboost discussion of trump slurring and lisping from the trending tab,” a user wrote.
“No slur, no fkn denture issues like a lot of those idiots in the comments said. Audio compression problems. Trump does not slur like Biden,” a MAGA supporter account wrote.
“Trump, slurring, says he’s okay with climate change and rising sea levels because he thinks he’ll ‘have more oceanfront property’,” Harris campaign commented on the lisp.
