Lamine Yamal won the award for a second year running in the men’s section, while his women’s counterpart Vicky Lopez won it after a successful year with the Blaugrana and Spain. She beat out Real Madrid’s Linda Caicedo, who finished second.

Real Madrid and Barcelona also had entrants in the top-10 for the Kopa trophy, as Dean Huijsen came sixth, just ahead of Pau Cubarsi in seventh. PSG duo Desire Doue and Joao Neves completed the podium. After

“Thank you, first of all to France Football to the award. I’d like to thank my club too, Futbol Club Barcelona, without which I would not be here. Thanks to my family, who I’m very happy could accompany me here. And well, how can I forget my teammates?”

“Like Cubarsi, who has traveled here today. Rafa [Raphinha], who helped me a lot to get here. And that’s it. I want to keep on working to win many more.”

Yachin Trophy

The Yachin Trophy, given to the best goalkeeper of the year, had two La Liga representatives, with Zamora-winner Jan Oblak placing 7th, and Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois, in fourth. Spain international and Arsenal number one David Raya was between them in sixth, while former Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bounou finished fifth
