Marcus Thuram is expected to return to the Inter line-up for the Champions League semifinal first leg against Barcelona, while Benjamin Pavard is unavailable.

It kicks off at 21:00 CET (20:00 BST) at the Olympic Stadium in Montjuïc.

The Nerazzurri have recovered Thuram, who returned to group training yesterday after missing the previous three matches. Benjamin Pavard is the only injured player for the Nerazzurri, while Joaquin Correa is not part of their UEFA list.

Yann Bisseck will replace Pavard, while Alessandro Bastoni and Henrikh Mkhitaryan return to action after serving a one-game ban against Roma in the latest Serie A match.

Barcelona are without the injured Alex Baldé, Robert Lewandowski and Marc Casado, all three missed a Catalans’ training session on the eve of the game on Tuesday.

As reported by Sky Sport Italia and other Italian media, Ferran Torres is expected to replace Lewandowski, whose return to action in the second leg semifinal at San Siro next week remains uncertain.

Barcelona vs Inter – Inzaghi’s press conference

Barcelona are “a team we’re familiar with, Flick is a great coach who has brought a lot of organisation to a great attacking team,” said the Nerazzurri boss on Tuesday.

“They are among the most organised teams in the world when they lose the ball: The offensive players all get progressively better. “It’s a team that’s been built over time, with lots of players who have come through the youth sector. They have incredible numbers and have won two titles, and they’re competing for more.”
