
After introducing new flights to Hyderabad, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Urumqi, Cathay Pacific has now announced non-stop flight operations between Hong Kong and Rome, among the most visited tourist destinations in the world. This flight route will also bring Cathay Pacific a step closer to reaching 100 passenger destinations globally.
The launch of the Hong Kong to Rome seasonal summer service promises seamless travel between Asia and Europe. The direct flights commenced on June 5, 2025 and will continue to operate till October 25, 2025, for the summer season.

Hong Kong to Rome direct flight: All you need to know

The Hong Kong-Rome route will be serviced by the Airbus A350-900 — an aircraft known for its fuel efficiency and modern amenities. The flight will operate thrice a week, on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Onboard the Airbus A350-900, travellers are promised unbridled luxury across seating classes. In addition to a plush Business Class with 38 flat-bed seats, the aircraft also features 28 top-tier Premium Economy seats and 214 seats in Economy Class.
“Cathay Pacific’s history in Italy stretches back close to 40 years, when we first launched direct flights between Hong Kong and Rome in 1986. We know our customers have been eagerly anticipating the return of this route, and we are delighted to be returning to Italy’s marvellous capital this summer,” Chief Customer and Commercial Officer Lavinia Lau said in a statement shared by Cathay Pacific.
