Cathay and Hong Kong Disneyland Join Forces to Boost Tourism – Travel Radar

Cathay and Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement, finalised at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, aims to promote travel and tourism to Hong Kong.

Combining World-Class Air Travel with the Disney Experience

The collaboration between the two iconic brands will combine Cathay’s renowned service with a touch of Disney magic. By creating a memorable travel experience for inbound passengers, it is hoped that Hong Kong will be solidified as a world leading tourist destination and regional transit hub.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), hosted by Cathay Group Chief Executive Officer Ronald Lam and HKDL Managing Director Michael Moriarty, was also attended by Special Guest Mickey Mouse.

Speaking of the partnership, Cathay’s Ronald Lam said:

Further Opportunities

Under the terms of the Memorandum, the brands will continue to explore further avenues for future collaboration. One such opportunity is the planned 2026 launch of a product for travellers transiting in Hong Kong.

Echoing Ronald Lam’s sentiments, HKDL Managing Director Michael Moriarty said of the partnership:
