Brighton set Ferguson price tag amid Roma and Atalanta interest

Roma and Atalanta are both reportedly interested in signing Brighton forward Evan Ferguson, as the Premier League side set his price tag at €25 million.

According to what has been reported by Relevo, via CalcioNews24, Roma are keen on signing the Irish striker – after issues concerning Financial Fair Play have been resolved after the Giallorossi received a fine from UEFA.

Meanwhile, Atalanta have also been linked, should Mateo Retegui depart the club this summer.

Brighton drop Ferguson price as Roma eye reinforcements

The reports suggest that Brighton have lowered their price dramatically for the Irishman. At one point, it is suggested the South coast club were only willing to entertain offers of €60 million or more – but after a difficult couple of seasons, the price has been cut in half.

Roma are reportedly looking for an additional striker to provide some competition for Artem Dovbyk and whilst no official contact for Ferguson has been made yet, the club are keeping a close eye on him.

Atalanta forward Mateo Retegui had a strong 2024-25 campaign; finishing as Serie A top scorer. The Italian striker has therefore been linked with a big-money move away from Bergamo this summer, with Saudi Pro League sides and Milan touted as potential destinations.

The reports suggest that if Retegui were to leave, Ferguson could be a potential replacement.
