Bookings open for Geelong Mums Mother’s Day Lunch

THE much-loved Geelong Mums annual Mother’s Day Lunch will return on May 10 at Mt Duneed Estate.

Guests will be treated to a three-course lunch and a selection of still and sparkling wines from the winery in Waurn Ponds.

Vocalist and MC Brihony Dawson will host the event, with live entertainment from band Midnight Mix.

Geelong Mums head of fundraising Olivia Zinzan said the event was the organisation’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

The charity rehomes donated preloved baby and nursery equipment for babies, children, and families in need, giving kids the best start in life.

“This special event is helping us raise funds to support over 21,000 babies and children in need across Victoria,” Ms Zinzan said.

“We’re hoping to raise $200,000 through this event, which will make a huge difference to being able to continue our service.”

Ms Zinzan said that through their networks of social workers, maternal child health nurses and hospitals, Geelong Mums had reached some of the most vulnerable families in the community.

“It’s been a much-loved event in the local calendar, and we’d love people to join us this year and make it special.

“It’s a really fun afternoon out whilst people come together celebrating Mother’s Day, it’s a great opportunity to get your friends together, or colleagues or host clients at a table.

“Have a great afternoon with beautiful food and wine, but also know that you’re doing it for a great cause in the local community.”
