Average prices and comfortable temperatures make October through December the best time to visit Hong Kong. Hong Kong sees a surge of tourism and prices going through the roof during the Golden Week in October and Chinese New Year holidays in late January or February. Period from April to May is an excellent interim between winter chilly temps and summer heat and humidity, with slightly lower room rates. Hot and muggy summer in Hong Kong lasts from June to September and brings in fantastic Dragon Boat Festival, hiking, and clam digging, but beware of probable typhoons and thick tourists crowds.
