Antler acquires Paravel, builds house of travel brands

UK-based premium travel brand Antler has acquired US luxury fashion-focused luggage label Paravel. And it announced what it says is a global ‘House of Travel Brands’ strategy “with sales growth expected to be more than £100 million” by 2029.

Paravel’s “brand identity will be preserved and revitalised under Antler’s leadership, with a relaunch for the brand expected in 2026”. Specific timings and details of that “will be announced in due course”.

Antler was the highest bidder for Paravel that had previously filed for bankruptcy and said that with the acquisition, Antler and holding group Strand now own and operates three distinct brands globally under the ATR Group.

Each brand “has their own unique DNA and positioning inspired by their domestic markets Antler (UK), Nere (Australia), and now Paravel”.

The move “strengthens Antler’s brand and product portfolio while broadening its global footprint across style, audience and location” with Parable’s fashion edge complementing Antler’s heritage positioning and Nere’s “youthful, trend-driven appeal”.

MD Kirsty Glenne said the latest purchase “reinforces our ambition to become a leading global house of travel brands. With Antler, Nere, and Paravel under one roof, we now serve a diverse range of travel lifestyles and consumers internationally. Each brand offering its own unique voice, product range, and market appeal.”
