Ahanor given 20m price tag after Atalanta and Milan interest

Genoa have reportedly slapped a €20m asking price on to teenager Honest Ahanor, after he attracted interest from Milan, Atalanta and more.

The 17-year-old made only six Serie A appearances during his brief career, but has already caught the eye of several big clubs.

He plays primarily as a left-back, but can also work in a more advanced role down that flank, or even as a central defender if required.

A product of the Genoa youth academy, Ahanor was born in Italy and is of Nigerian descent, but has full Italian citizenship.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the asking price is already set at €20m after Atalanta and Milan both set their sights on him for this summer.

He is seen as a valid alternative to Matteo Ruggeri, who is in the process of completing his transfer to Atletico Madrid, and Al-Hilal-bound Theo Hernandez.

The interest is not just from within Italy, because AS Monaco in Ligue 1 have also been linked with a move for Ahanor.
