Top MO Betting Apps for 2025

Missouri sports bettingMissouri sports betting

The Missouri sports betting market is set to launch on Dec. 1, and users can register their MO sportsbook accounts as soon as Nov. 17, two weeks before the launch.

The official launch of Missouri sports gambling follows years of back-and-forth between lawmakers, lobbyists, and owners and representatives of the state’s professional sports teams. The first sportsbooks were approved in the middle of August, and 10 online sports betting sites were granted temporary licenses on Oct. 22.

While all of the approved sportsbooks offer the customary betting odds, they differ in their markets, promotional offerings, new-user sportsbook sign-up bonuses, sports, and more.

As we continue, we will review what sports betting apps are legal in Missouri and discuss Missouri betting apps available to customers across the Show-Me State.

Can you bet on sports in Missouri?

Missouri sports betting is legal thanks to the decision of local voters at a November 2024 ballot. A pro-sports betting measure was approved by less than 3,000 voters, greenlighting the state to offer sports betting through retail and online sportsbook apps.

Online sports gambling in Missouri will not be operational until near the end of the year. However, Missouri sportsbooks are allowed to register customers as of Nov. 17, ensuring they can take advantage of various sign-up offers and promotions to unlock bonuses before legal wagering begins.

When will sports betting be legal in Missouri?

All approved Missouri sports betting sites will be able to accept wagers as of 12:01 a.m. local time on Dec. 1.

There was a Sept. 12 application deadline for sportsbooks that wanted to be part of the Dec. 1 launch. 10 operators and companies met the deadline and were granted temporary approval, but the state is eligible to host up to 14 online and 19 retail sportsbooks, one at all 13 in-state casinos and one for each of the six local professional sports teams.

Modo.us is poised to become a key player in Missouri’s upcoming sports betting market, providing a modern platform that connects users with trusted sportsbook operators and streamlined payment solutions. As Missouri prepares to launch legal online sports betting in December 2025, Modo.us aims to enhance the customer experience by simplifying deposits, withdrawals, and bonus redemptions. With its focus on seamless transactions and user security, Modo.us is well-positioned to support the state’s growing digital betting ecosystem and ensure a smooth transition for new bettors entering the legal market.

What sports betting apps are legal in Missouri?

The list of approved Missouri sports betting apps will change as more operators are granted approval.

The initial list of 10 sportsbooks that received temporary approval for the Dec. 1 launch can be found below.

DraftKings and Circa Sports were approved for two highly coveted untethered Missouri sports betting operators’ licenses. The decision came as a shock to those in the sports betting industry, since FanDuel, the nation’s leader in sports betting, also applied, but was denied one of the two spots.

Circa Sports had only been available in five other states prior to being approved. The sportsbook caters to more serious bettors by offering a lower vig (think of this as the tax taken by sportsbooks for every wager), higher betting and deposit limits, and “sharp” lines.

ESPN Bet and Fanatics are the relative newcomers in the market. Fanatics, in particular, has taken a customer-first approach, offering rewarding promotions and a “fair play” deal to honor wagers affected by injuries, while ESPN Bet has unveiled innovative betting markets.

bet365 has arguably the best odds on the market and always has tons of options, regardless of the event or sport.

BetMGM and Caesars are members of America’s “Big Four” sportsbook operators and offer lucrative rewards programs for loyal customers.

Underdog Sports is only licensed as a traditional sports betting operator in one other state (North Carolina). Primarily a daily fantasy sports operator, it enters the Missouri sports betting market with an app that reflects the simplicity of fantasy sports.

Kambi is unique compared to the rest of the licensees since it is not a sportsbook. Rather, it is a business-to-business technology provider that has worked with various sportsbooks in multiple states. It is unclear which sportsbook will use Kambi’s license to launch a Missouri mobile betting app.

All of these Missouri sportsbooks will be available for customers as of Dec. 1, 2025.

Who can be on sports in Missouri?

Anyone who is 21 or older is eligible to bet on sports in Missouri. All that customers need to do is create an account, secure a sportsbook registration bonus, enter their information, submit a first-time deposit, and get started.

The Missouri sports betting ecosystem is open to residents and guests. Missouri sportsbook users do not need to be native Missourians.

Best sports betting app Missouri

The best sports betting app in Missouri will vary depending on the customer. Apps such as DraftKings and FanDuel do a great job of blending the experiences of novice and experienced bettors with a comfortable interface.

Underdog has a very simple approach, while Circa Sports is geared toward veteran gamblers. bet365 doesn’t have the most aesthetic appearance, but it is stuffed with opportunities and prop betting markets.

Fanatics, Caesars and BetMGM are heavily focused on the experience of their customers and unlocking rewards, while ESPN Bet delivered innovative markets as soon as it launched.

Kambi is still a mystery due to its lack of an internal sportsbook.

Essentially, the best sportsbook in Missouri will vary by user. Each bettor in Missouri is able to claim a sign-up bonus from every sports betting app so they can gain first-hand experience and eventually figure out their favorite.

Is Bovada legal in Missouri?

Bovada is not legal in Missouri. It is an offshore sportsbook, meaning that it is not state or federally licensed to operate inside state lines.

While customers won’t be punished legally for using Bovada, they will open themselves up to a variety of perils.

Identity theft and fraud are just a couple of the major dangers that are present when using offshore sportsbooks. There aren’t any enforceable consumer protection methods when using these sportsbooks since they have never received state or federal operator’s licenses.

Missouri sports betting news

The latest news related to the launch of Missouri sportsbooks is that the 10 entities listed above were granted temporary operators’ licenses. They all submitted their applications ahead of the Sept. 12 deadline and were all granted approval for the Dec. 1 launch.
