Scott McTominay says Napoli must ‘take it on the chin’ and not ‘go crazy’ after a 6-2 loss against PSV in the Champions League: ‘It’s a long season.’
The Scotland international scored a brace last night, but his Napoli side suffered an embarrassing 6-2 loss away at PSV.
McTominay reacts to shocking Napoli loss vs. PSV

“It’s football, you have to take it on the chin. We have to defend better when we know we’re down to 10 men, to be a little bit more than what we showed in the last 10 -15 minutes of the game,” McTominay told UEFA.
“In football, there’s always another game coming quick. So, for us, you have to remove the feelings and the hurt from this evening and continue to try and improve.”
PSV scored three goals in the final ten minutes.
McTominay: ‘We just have to be calm’

“Yeah, they were quite strange. It was just like, bang, bang, and we were 2 -1 down. We’d been playing reasonably well. But that’s football. It happens,” said the Napoli star.
“It’s a long season. For us, we just have to be calm. We can’t go crazy and think about too many different things. It’s one match at a time. I’ve always said that throughout my career. This evening didn’t go the way we wanted, at all. So the next [match] is coming and we need to be better.”
