Apple TV, Apple Music and App Store are down as Apple services suffer major outage

Update: The Apple system status now says Apple TV, Apple Music and App Store issues are now resolved.

Apple online services are currently experience a big outage that has lasted a couple hours already. Some customers are noticing they are unable to stream on Apple TV, listen to their library on Apple Music, or download new apps from the App Store.

Apple’s official system status page says these services have been experiencing issues since around midnight Eastern Time. We currently don’t know when the problem will be fixed.

In particular, this means affected users have been unable to stream their Sunday night entertainment of Apple Originals through Apple TV. You get a “There’s a problem loading this content” error when trying to watch something.

Frustrated users took to X to report that their shows like The Studio and Severance ended mid-way through an episode.

Additionally, some users on social media are reporting issues accessing TestFlight, and the Apple Games app. Apple also says there is an issue for some users affecting their ability to access their iCloud Storage plans in Settings. It seems like a pretty fundamental issue with Apple’s storefront backend, hence why it has such wide reach.

This is probably the biggest Apple account outage of 2025, having now lasted for about three hours and counting.
