After unsuccessful negotiations with Russia in Alaska earlier this year, Donald Trump’s push for peace in Ukraine is shifting away from diplomacy and toward military pressure.

He is now openly contemplating the deployment of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.

The US President has recently ignored India’s offer to mediate between the parties and has further escalated trade tensions with Delhi and China.

Later this week, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is expected to have talks at the White House, while a meeting with Vladimir Putin in Budapest, Hungary, is reportedly being planned.

Meanwhile, Russia’s war in Ukraine continues with heavy casualties and intensified drone and missile strikes.
