Critical Communications Today – TCCA launches new event in Hong Kong

Discussing the event, a spokesperson said: “Critical Communications Asia will bring international information to the North Asia community. It will showcase Asian Pacific voices and perspectives on the business requirements for critical communications across public safety, utilities, transportation, energy, and ports.

“Hong Kong is the strategic gateway between China and the rest of Asia. It is uniquely positioned to host critical communications leaders at the intersection of innovation, policy, and regional interoperability.”

The title of the event is ‘Global standards, regional impact: advancing critical communications capabilities and resilience in Asia.’

The announcement follows this year’s Critical Communications World, which was the largest and most successful in the history of the event. It took place in Brussels in June.

Critical Communications Asia will be the first TCCA show to be located outside of Europe or the Middle East since 2019, when Critical Communications World took place in Kuala Lumpur.

TCCA CEO Kevin Graham said: “TCCA is extremely pleased to announce the first of a series of regional critical communications events. The first, Critical Communications Asia, will be held in Hong Kong, a city that has previously hosted two of our highly successful annual international Critical Communications World events.

“The Asian region is a significant market for critical communications and, as in other regions, critical industries are working towards augmenting well established narrowband networks with critical broadband capability.”

He continued: “Hong Kong is an excellent central location to gather together stakeholders from across Asia to exchange information, share international experience and expertise, and understand the future directions of all standards-based critical communications solutions.

“We are very appreciative of the support of our Hong Kong government community as hosts and look forward to participation of critical industry end users, solution suppliers, system integrators, academia, consultants, terrestrial and non-terrestrial network operators, carriers and government.”

Critical Communications Asia will take place from April 22-23 2026 at the Shangri-La Kowloon, Hong Kong. For more information, click here.here.
