After appearing to be close to a done deal earlier this month, the transfer of Timothy Weah to Marseille has stalled as Juventus disagree with the Ligue 1 side over the valuation of the player, reports from Italy claim.

According to what has been reported by IlBianconero, the situation remains on hold despite the player’s agent arriving in Turin to help mediate between the parties. Juventus want €20 million for the player whilst Roberto De Zerbi’s Marseille will not budge over their €15 million maximum.

After Forest snub, Weah future hangs in the balance

There is a possibility that Weah remains at Juventus, as the Bianconeri are not overly eager to sell the player. However, the club appreciate the financial boost on offer if a suitable bid comes in. Therefore, if the clubs refuse to budge on their estimations, the player may stay in Turin after all.

That being said, Juventus had already accepted an offer from Premier League club Nottingham Forest for Weah, before the player himself rejected the move to England.
