Manchester United are eyeing a move to sign this Serie A forward

In a recent print edition, Corriere dello Sport (Page 18) mentioned that Manchester United remain keen admirers of Fiorentina forward Moise Kean. It has been stated that the Red Devils are eyeing a move to bring the Italian striker to Old Trafford in this summer transfer window.

Kean’s Impressive Run Of Form In Italian Football

Kean enjoyed a great run of form at the Italian club recently as he was responsible for putting in a lot of impressive displays in the final third. The Italian talent participated in 44 matches for Fiorentina last season, scoring 25 times and earning three assists in the process in all competitions.

The 25-year-old was a consistent performer in the opponent’s half and deserves a ton of credit for averaging 3.37 shots per 90 minutes in Serie A football. He kept 45.9% of his attempts on target. However, Kean needs to improve his ball distribution after completing just 69.9% of his attempted passes in the Italian top tier (stats via fbref.com).

Kean’s current contract at Fiorentina will run out in the summer of 2029 which could make it tough for the Red Devils to sign him on the cheap this off-season.

Should Manchester United Boss Ruben Amorim Snap Kean Up This Summer?

Kean can find some space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He has got the eye to play some decisive passes on the offensive end of the field and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.

The Italian talent has proven himself to be a consistent goal-getter in Serie A. However, he needs to work on improving his link-up play in the opposition half. Furthermore, Kean struggled to find consistency in Premier League football during his time at Everton. Hence, he would be a risky option for the Red Devils to consider this summer.

Still, we can expect him to enhance the quality of Man United boss Ruben Amorim’s attack. He would even serve as an upgrade over Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee at the Mancunian club.

At 25, Kean has his best years ahead of him which makes him a decent choice for the Red Devils to pursue this off-season. Therefore, Man United would be wise to try everything they can to snap him up before the end of this transfer window.
