Man Utd Make Contact to Sign Premier League ‘Superstar’

Manchester United have reportedly registered their interest in Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, who is expecting to depart from Selhurst Park this summer, as per TBR Football journalist Graeme Bailey.

The Red Devils struggled to score enough goals last term and that contributed significantly to an abysmal 15th-placed Premier League finish – the worst in their history in the competition.

Boss Ruben Amorim and his entourage have taken steps to ensure this does not happen by looking to sign proven talent in the Premier League to bolster the attack. United have already completed a deal for ex-Wolverhampton Wanderers ace Matheus Cunha and Brentford‘s Bryan Mbeumo and Palace’s Eze are believed to be among the players next on their radar.

United Eyeing Eze Move

Premier League rivals are also interested

According to Bailey, Manchester United are showing an interest in Eze, but they face competition from a number of Premier League rivals in their pursuit of the 27-year-old “superstar”.

“Eberechi Eze is expecting to leave Crystal Palace this summer, that is no secret.

“He has a release clause and Steve Parish is open to taking instalments to a certain degree but any agreement will need to be reached with Palace.

“Eze himself has made it clear he is open to options, and a host of Premier League clubs have had made contact.

“As we have reported, the most advanced are Tottenham and we are told the player would welcome a move.

“But Arsenal have indeed made enquiries as they see him as a potential option on their left – but same with Liverpool, Chelsea, Man United, Newcastle and Aston Villa – they have all made enquiries to some extent this year.”

Having scored the winning goal in the 2025 FA Cup final against Manchester City, Eze engraved his name in Crystal Palace’s history for helping win the first piece of silverware in the club’s history. He registered 14 goals and 12 assists in 43 outings in all competitions, and was among the best midfielders in the Premier League last term.

Amorim would benefit from having a player with Eze’s flair and creativity in his attack, but Manchester United must fork out £68 million to pay the player’s release clause and convince the player of his future at Old Trafford.
