Premier League star rejects multiple clubs as he continues to wait for Barcelona

Marcus Rashford remains firmly on FC Barcelona’s radar as a potential late-summer market coup.

Despite the ongoing focus on priority targets like Joan Garcia and Nico Williams, the Blaugrana are leaving the door open for a blockbuster move should the opportunity align.

Rashford: All-In for Barça

According to SPORT, Rashford is eager to join Barcelona and is prepared to wait for the club to make a move.

In January, Barça considered him but hit pause due to Fair Play. Now, the conversation has reignited. Rashford’s physical presence, goal threat, and ability to create danger make him an enticing late-market option.

Despite proposals from Saudi Arabia, Chelsea, Newcastle, and Aston Villa, he continues to hold out for Barça.

Rashford’s camp, led by his brother, has met with Deco in Barcelona and made their position clear: the player wants to come. He is ready to accept a significant pay cut and even push for a loan from Manchester United to make the deal happen.

The English forward is viewed as a versatile asset by Hansi Flick, capable of covering both wings and the striker position – a key piece in a long, injury-prone season.

Timing is key

Barcelona director Deco has been upfront: Barça can make “two, three or four signings” this window. Joan Garcia has arrived, Nico Williams’ arrival is imminent, and from there, everything hinges on outgoing players and emerging opportunities.

Rashford, who has made his desire to join the club well-known, fits the latter perfectly.

All parties are playing the long game. Manchester United want €40 million for a sale but know they may have to settle for less – or even a loan.

Barça, meanwhile, are focusing on registering Garcia and Nico before moving on to any new operations. But they are confident outgoing transfers will eventually open the salary space.

Rashford has not been ruled out despite Nico’s arrival. If the numbers line up and the opportunity remains, Barcelona are ready to strike. For now, patience is the name of the game.
