Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez has prioritised a move to Napoli, but the Partenopei are still working to reach an agreement with the Reds.

Liverpool striker Nunez has received several offers so far this summer, but has prioritised a move to Napoli.

Sources with direct knowledge of the matter tell me that the Uruguay international has clearly given his priority to a summer transfer to the Stadio Maradona.

Napoli are already prepared to invest €42m-43m for the 25-year-old, but the defending Serie A champions are aware that Liverpool’s asking price is around €50m.

Nevertheless, Nunez is also Napoli’s top priority target, which means the Partenopei won’t advance talks with any other striker until they have a chance to sign the ex-Benfica star.

It will likely take time to reach an agreement with Liverpool as the Partenopei are working to find an agreement with the Reds, knowing that the sale of some players, especially Victor Osimhen, could help them sign their primary target in attack.
