Bengaluru: Three persons, including a woman, were arrested in connection with the theft of mobile phones from two stores recently in Varthur and Bellandur. Police recovered 39 mobile phones, a camera, a digital watch, and 8 grams of gold, altogether worth Rs 40.5 lakh.The arrested are Divas Kami, 22, Aron Thapa, 28, and Asmita, 26, all residents of Balagere. Kami and Thapa are natives of Namchi in Sikkim, while Asmita is a native of Nepal. Both Kami and Thapa are habitual offenders and were arrested earlier.The duo committed burglaries in the stores and took the help of Asmita to dispose of the mobile phones. According to police, the duo stole around 29 mobile phones of different manufacturers, including iPhones, a digital watch, a camera, and Rs 2 lakh from a Croma outlet on Varthur-Gunjur Main Road on the night of Oct 20. The manager of the outlet filed a complaint with Varthur police.
